Personalizing Your Wedding Ceremony

February 13, 2019

Congratulations . . . You're Getting Married!

Your wedding day begins with your ceremony. It is the part of your  day that makes you husband and wife. When we are composing a ceremony we try to make sure that the words that our couples hear on their day are a unique expression of their relationship and what’s important to them.

Your ceremony marks the beginning of your marriage even for couples that have been living together previously. We encourage couples to incorporate everything that is important to them. That can be a rose on a chair to honor a close relative who has passed away, or involving the parents, both mother and father to walk you down the aisle. We have had couples who have invited their moms to come up and give them their last single kiss before the 1st kiss as husband and wife. If you have relatives or friends close to you and you want them to be more involved in your wedding you can give them a favorite passage to read during the ceremony or ask them to write something special that they will read.

Many couples now have children from previous marriages and want the children included in the ceremony. We have family vows that can be read by both the parents and children and a gift can be given as part of the ceremony. A Unity Candle or Sand Ceremony is also a meaningful  ceremony that can be performed symbolizing two families becoming one.

So,  as you can see, there are many ways to make your ceremony special and unique. There are no hard and fast rules anymore. Your officiate will work with you in crafting a ceremony that will be both sacred and celebratory and one that you will remember fondly for years to come.

Contact Us for information on how we can help you create a ceremony that is perfect for you. We look forward to hearing from you.

"Christina was great to work with. Planning a Florida beach wedding from Indiana would have been very difficult for us. Christina put everything together including the location, the officiant and the photographer as well as offering great ideas and additions to our ceremony. Every email was answered right away and each change was accommodated. Our ceremony was EXACTLY what we wanted. I highly recommend Weddings By Christina!"   ~   Read More »
