The Unity Sand Ceremony

The Unity Sand Ceremony is a unique and beautiful way to include children and family members in your wedding ceremony. The idea is similar in symbolism to that of the unity candle ceremony but is much more inclusive for a blended family. Each family member is a given a small vase of different colored sand, which they pour into a larger vase, representing the coming-together of your families. Following the ceremony the vase can be taken home to have as a keepsake as a reminder of your special day.

Not only is the Sand Ceremony a great way to bring together your blended family, you may purchase a unity sand set that can be engraved with your names, monogram or other message, making it a very personal part of your wedding day. In addition, you can choose colors that reflect your wedding colors or home décor. For more information on the Unity Sand Ceremony please visit my Ceremonies page. The one pictured above is included with my sand ceremony package.

"Christina was great to work with. Planning a Florida beach wedding from Indiana would have been very difficult for us. Christina put everything together including the location, the officiant and the photographer as well as offering great ideas and additions to our ceremony. Every email was answered right away and each change was accommodated. Our ceremony was EXACTLY what we wanted. I highly recommend Weddings By Christina!"   ~   Read More »
